NPL Water Rocket Challenge

Date: 26th June 2024 Location: Bushy Park Sports Club, Pavilion Road, Teddington, TW11 0EL Sections: Scouts, Explorer Scouts

Water Rocket taking offScout Troops and Explorer Units are invited to enter teams for the open competition in the early evening.

The challenge is to land an air pressurised rocket, using water as a propellant, exactly 70 m from launch point, three times, with extra points for flight duration.

At the event, which has been running for over 20 years, teams compete in a Water Rockets challenge and individuals are also able to make and launch their own rockets.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
