Snowdonia Adventure Weekend for Explorers
Erik Armstrong SESU are sponsoring an adventure weekend, based out of the County hillwalking base in Bethesda, Snowdonia.
The weekend will begin on the Friday evening (4th April), departing from Petersham in minibuses, and arriving late at Bethesda. Activities over 3 days will include a day of hiking over Terrain One (500m – 800m elevation), enabling you to practice navigation skills and gain experience hill walking, rock climbing under the instruction of a qualified instructor, along with two activities at zip world. The trip will end late in the afternoon/evening, retuning to Petersham by minibus.
Space and time can be provided for those needing to do some study over the course of the trip, but we are hoping that this trip can be a well-earned break.
There are 8 spaces available on this trip for any Explorer within the Richmond District (excluding Erik Armstrong, where places have already been allocated). Spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Only once payment is received will a place be reserved. It will be shown here, when all spaces have been allocated.
The cost of the weekend will be £200 (including transport, food from Saturday morning, hillwalking, climbing, and Aero-explorer and jumping nets (or similar) at Zip World (There may be the option for a limited number of participants to do the sip-line and/or caverns, depending on numbers and availability, but at an additional cost of between £55-£95 depending on options available and chosen.)
If you would like a place on this trip, or more information, please email: guy.jones@richmondscouts.org.uk, ensuring that you also copy in one of your Explorer Leaders and/or a parent/guardian.
