Hello,

You will be pleased to hear that the Jack Petchey Foundation is preparing once again to make its annual grant of £1000 to 3 outstanding Scout and Explorer Leaders in the district.  Deserving applicants are nominated secretly by their Group Scout Leader in consultation with Phil Hunt, the District Commissioner. Winning applicants are only informed of their success once their application has been approved by the JPAA. At this stage in the process the winning leaders must then decide how their award might be spent.

There is two essential rules:- The nominated leader must have been in position with a Scout or Explorer group for at least 1 year. The nomination process must be kept a complete secret from the nominee.

Thank you,

Yours in Scouting,

Martyn

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
