Date: 27th Oct 2021 Author: Phil Hunt

Apply now to be a Participant at the 25th World Scout Jamboree 2023

The Jamboree at SaeManGeum, Korea, will be held from 1 to 12 August in 2023.  As a UK Contingent Member and a member of a Greater London South West Unit, you are are likely to be in Korea before and after these dates exploring the country as part of your Jamboree experience.

You must have been born between 22 July 2005 and 31 July 2009 and be a registered member of a Scout Group or Explorer Scout Unit now and until your return.

Richmond upon Thames District has been allocated a minimum of 14 places – REGISTER NOW for an opportunity of a lifetime and to do your bit to build a better world.

You must attend an Information Session on 28th November with a supporting adult and, if you’re still interested you must attend a full day Jamboree Experience Day on 5th December which will help you finally decide whether the Jamboree is for you.

If it is and you pass a basic suitability and reference check, you’ll enter a BALLOT to win a place as a UK Contingent Member. This means that, so long as you can cope with being on the other side of the world for several weeks and can commit to training and raising funds, all entrants have an equal chance of being a Participant, irrespective of personal background, religious belief, gender, education, skills and abilities, or anything else.
