Be Prepared for music

We are very pleased to be able to announce that applications for the 2023 NSGSO and NSGCB course are now open. The 2023 course will be the 48th year of the Symphony Orchestra, with the Concert Band now in its 8th year, running alongside the Orchestra course. The residential course is held in Stourbridge, West Midlands, with concerts held at prestigious venues in the Birmingham area.

The course runs from Sunday 30th July – Sunday 6th August 2023. 

The closing date for applications is 9am on Sunday 11th December 2022. To find out more about our course, entry requirements, and cost, visit our website nsgso-nsgcb.com.

Please could you circulate this email and attached flier as widely as possible amongst all Scouts, Explorers, Young Leaders and Network members aged 12-25 in your county. This is also a great opportunity for people looking to complete the residential section of their Gold DofE/QSA.

The course is hosted by Birmingham Scout County in conjunction with Girlguiding Birmingham but is open to applicants from across the UK who meet the selection criteria.
