A Christmas message from the DC

Date: 20th Dec 2022 Author: Phil Hunt

Phil Hunt, District Commissioner writes to all our volunteers:

As the end of the year approaches and the Christmas holidays are upon us, now is a traditional time to reflect on the events of 2022 and to look forward to 2023.

On behalf of all the young lives you will have touched in one way or another over the year, I would like to thank you personally for everything you do for the Scouts in Richmond upon Thames.

Next year is promising to be an exciting time to be a Scout of any age – for those of us who can’t go to the 25th World Scout Jamboree in Korea in August I’m very much looking forward to our own parallel District ‘Korea’ Camp where our members will experience the joy of a unique Jamboree in our own back yard.

Of course, that’s in addition to all the usual fabulous activities and camps being planned.

I do hope to see you in the New Year, but in the meantime I wish you and your family peace, goodwill and happiness this Christmas and always.

Phil Hunt
