District Conference 2022 on Sunday 18 September

The District Conference is open to all

Hosted by the District Commissioner, Phil Hunt, the event will explore how we are progressing against Our Plan for 2024 and announce our plans for 2023.

We’ll be hearing from Tom Cross who is completing his Queen’s Scout Award and Jess Jones about her adventures during the County’s Explorer Belt Expedition earlier this year.

The Conference, which starts promptly at 2pm includes a brief Annual General Meeting of the District Scout Council followed by a free barbecue and free bar* from about 4pm. It’s a great chance to catch up with everyone.

Full dress uniform (with medals) is appropriate for the AGM. Facilities are available for those who prefer to change into casual Scout attire for the barbecue.

Families are welcome, but note: this is an adult environment and there are NO supervised activities for Young People.

*Alcoholic drinks will not be available until after the Conference ends. The bar is in a separate building to the Conference. ‘Green Card’ alcohol policy will apply.
