More details of the District’s Jamboree Camp next August

Leaders from all over the District met yesterday to start the detailed planning for next year’s extravaganza. The aim is to recreate the atmosphere, the experience and joy of a Scout Jamboree as closely as we can for as many young people in our District as we can. Organisers are encouraging as many youngsters to take part as possible so that they don’t miss out on possibly one of the best local camping experiences of a Scouting generation, not to mention the opportunity to earn a whole armful of badges!

Designed for all ages and organised like a Jamboree, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and of course adults will be grouped into a stream so that, on a rota basis they will enjoy:

  • A: Onsite games and physical activities
  • B: Offsite activities
  • C: World crafts and culture

Beavers and Squirrels will have similar experiences as part of their own Programme of age appropriate activities.
