Help a Young Refugee

Looking for a project for the Community Impact Badge?

Look no further, we have the perfect project to get your Young People involved.

As part of the Community Impact Badge 3rd Heathfield Ibn Battuta Scouts & Zheng He Explorers will be making ‘Kindness Boxes’ to donate to refugee children in need in the UK

Life isn’t easy for young refugees. After long and harrowing journeys, they arrive in the UK, not to a warm bed and loving families but to endless challenges.
They have a new strange place having left their family and personal belongings behind not knowing what the future holds, feeling lost and forgotten.

This kind gesture such as a kindness box full of gifts will make them feel special again knowing someone cares.

Together as Scouts we can make a real impact to the children in our community who are less fortunate and bring back that smile.

How can you support?

It’s really simple to get the Community Impact Badge and be part of this amazing project.

Young people just need to find a shoebox wrap it up and fill it with gifts for a boy or girl and drop it to us. This will then be given to a refugee child in need.

Below you can find a poster to advertise the project and a sheet detailing what sort of things are required to be packed into your Kindness Box (right click to save) or click on the pdfs here:

So help us spread a little happiness and make a child smile.

Thank You
