HM the Queen sends greetings

Her Majesty the Queen sent her best wishes to 3rd Whitton Scout Group when she heard about their fundraising horse race night last month.
In the year of her Platinum Jubilee all the horses were named after actual horses the Queen has owned over the years.
In the letter from Balmoral, a Lady-in Waiting explains that the Queen hoped that the event, which was to help an Explorer Scout attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree next year, was a great success.
Indeed it was! With an excellent barbecue and a fully licenced bar (with a selection of special guest real ales!) – the event was well attended and great fun!
The Queen is a Patron of the the Scouts, so it’s particularly pleasing to receive a letter of encouragement.
