Jumper Fun

DC Phil writes: I think this could be a great fun activity to support a good cause that we could promote to Groups who are looking for a Community Impact project… Whilst geographically in Kingston, the catchment area for the hospital includes much of Richmond upon Thames.

While the pandemic continues to make life difficult for community groups and schools, as it does here at Kingston Hospital, we hope that Christmas this year will be a time to raise a smile on everyone’s faces.

We are asking if you will help us to bring a smile to the face of a child who may not be so fortunate by joining our Christmas Jumper Fun campaign and raising funds for our paediatric service at Kingston Hospital. Whether it’s creating a special challenge, and asking parents for sponsorship, or simply asking children to wear their festive jumper for a day and making a mufti donation, we’re hoping community groups across our community will want to get involved.  Kingston Hospital Charity works with colleagues from across Kingston Hospital to ensure every patient experiences outstanding care and the best possible outcome. We do this by raising money to help provide a quality of care that is over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone. Among the projects we are supporting currently are development of a new paediatric day care oncology unit and an upgrade of the paediatric garden area.

Philanthropy is playing an increasingly important role in helping the hospital to deliver on its ambitions, so we are keen to develop closer relationships with the community groups across our community. While we hope you will want to support our hospital’s paediatric service this Christmas, we’d be happy to arrange a meeting for a more considered discussion.
