Scout Groups took part in various services and events all over the District

Parades and services took place all over Richmond upon Thames yesterday to remember all those who served our country in times of conflict and in particular those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

As previously reported, five members of Peake Explorer Unit represented all Explorers in the country at the march past at the Cenotaph in London yesterday. The Scout Association party consisted of Sections from Greater London South West.

Owen Purcell, The County Commissioner for GLSW said “The comments on how well all our Young People behaved was overwhelming and the Young People were a real credit to the County, Districts and the Scout Association as well as Young People themselves.”

In case you missed it, the Scout contingent made it on the BBC national news item. See it here.
