Squirrels are here!

Date: 22nd Nov 2021 Author: Phil Hunt

Our first Squirrel Drey in the District – the first in Greater London South West in fact – held their first meeting on Friday 19th November.

The new Section at 1st Hampton Hill (Sea Scout) Group caters for 4 and 5 year olds. In bright red uniforms, Squirrels can earn badges and enjoy age appropriate Scouting activities including great games, singing and listening to engaging stories.

The first meeting was well attended by new recruits and the session was observed (from a little distance so as not to worry them!) by Cllr Gareth Roberts – Leader of Richmond Council, Sarah Kershaw – Assistant District Commissioner for Beaver Scouts and Phil Hunt – District Commissioner.

Tony Davies, Group Scout Leader said he was pleased as punch with this ‘first’ and very proud that 1st Hampton Hill was leading the way in the County.
