Teddington Cubs – Trip to Paris
Disneyland and Paris
During half term, a small group of Cubs from 2nd and 10th Teddington crossed the Channel to France on an exciting trip to Disneyland and to the capital of France.
Group leader Claire writes:
“We boarded the coach bright and early at 5am, we were greeted by an equally enthusiastic group of Guides who had been on the coach since 1am.
We travelled to Dover and on to Calais via the ferry, finally arriving at the Châteaux de Grand Romaine at around 4pm for a delicious meal of coq au vin. Some of the Cubs tried snails too!!
After a petit déjeuner of Coco Pops and pains au chocolat we headed to Disneyland. We arrived as the park opened and stayed until it closed at 10:30pm so we had plenty of time to see all the attractions and thrilling rides. The braver Cubs even experienced the Tower of Terror, a truly terrifying drop from a great height!
The next day we visited Paris and climbed the Eiffel Tower- what a view! We had a boat cruise on the River Seine and a coach tour of the main sites of Paris.
What an adventure! ”
