We’re Amber
Scouting got restarted in Richmond upon Thames District this week, with 1st Hampton Hill Sea Scouts being one of the first to complete the process for returning to limited Scouting (outdoors only and a cap on numbers, with social distancing required).
The Group reports that “All the young people did really well following the rules for the ‘new normal’. Big thanks to the Leaders from the Group for getting their restart plan and risk assessments completed and approved.
We have developed two page on the District Website to assist Scout Groups with developing their start up plans:
A page for Section Leaders, Group Scout Leaders and Chairs of Group Executive Committees to walk through the requirements for developing a re-start plan and their risk assessments. This is located in Leader’s password protected area here.
A page for Section Leaders (and indeed anyone interested!) providing resources for appropriate activities, which can be accessed here. If you have a suitable activity – or road tested one from the Scouts.uk website – let us know! E-mail us at: planning@richmondscouts.org.uk
