District Shop opens

The District Shop is now open

The Shop at the Hub opened its doors to the public on Saturday 24th April.

An official outlet for Scout uniform and other Scouting items, the Shop is run by a team of volunteers. All proceeds are returned to Scouting locally.

Customers are invited to see and try items and sizes first hand and our experienced team can give great advice.

The Shop is open on

Wednesdays 3pm – 5.30pm

Saturdays 10am – 12.30pm

DC cuts the ribbon at the Shop at the Hub

The District Commissioner, Phil Hunt cut the ribbon to mark the official opening of this new enterprise, which will become a great asset to the District, not only as a source of some income but more importantly as service to all our Members.

“We had a great day”, said Robert, one of the Shop Volunteers. “We had a good number of customers and a number of Leaders who popped in to see us.”

The Shop keeps a good stock of most sizes of Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer uniforms and a stock of popular Leader uniforms too.

“If we don’t have what you need, we can usually get it quite quickly”, said Robert.
