NPL Water Rocket Challenge 2024 – Hurry: registration is open

Date: 13th Jun 2024 Author: Phil Hunt

Reach for the sky! Water Rocket Challenge at NPL – 26th June 2024

Scout Troops and Explorer Units are invited to enter teams for the open competition in the early evening.

The challenge is to land an air pressurised rocket, using water as a propellant, exactly 70m from launch point, three times, with extra points for flight duration.

At the event, which has been running for over 20 years, teams compete in a Water Rockets challenge and individuals are also able to make and launch their own rockets.

It’s the most fun you can have with a fizzy drinks bottle!

NOTE: This year, any monies raised are being donated to registered Scout Groups in Richmond upon Thames
